TRANSFER HIJACK: European giant offers West Ham’s top priority transfer target LIFE-CHANGING two-year deal, sparks transfer frenzy – Shocking report reveals insider knowledge of coach relationship

West Ham United’s hopes of signing Sergi Roberto may be dashed as Como is reportedly preparing to offer him a two-year contract. According to Sport, Julen Lopetegui’s team has yet to secure the former Barcelona player, leaving Como, led by Cesc Fabregas, as the frontrunners.

Initially reported by Mundo Deportivo, the 32-year-old Roberto has garnered interest from clubs in France, Germany, and other parts of Italy following his emotional farewell from Barcelona. Despite West Ham’s efforts in the transfer window, it seems a deal for Roberto is now unlikely.

While West Ham is considered a bigger club than Serie A newcomers Como, Fabregas’s influence could sway Roberto’s decision. It appears a deal with Como for a two-year contract, contingent on their Serie A status, has already been reached. This leaves West Ham with just over a week to pursue other targets, particularly in central midfield and right-back positions.

Reports suggest that Hayden Hackney from Middlesbrough and Carlos Soler from PSG are potential targets for West Ham to bolster their squad before the end of the transfer window on 30 August. Tim Steidten’s recruitment drive shows no signs of slowing down as he continues to strengthen the squad.
