Wolves are bracing themselves for a hectic couple of days as a number of players are expected to leave the club. Transfer deadline day is fast approaching and Wolves are looking to offload several players within the next 48 hours.
So far, Max Kilman and Pedro Neto have been among the departures, with a few young players securing loan moves. However, more sales are anticipated with Goncalo Guedes and Chiquinho potentially on the way out. Another player who could be leaving is Daniel Podence, who has made substitute appearances in Wolves’ first two Premier League games of the season.
Podence, who has been linked with a move to Al-Shabab, is reportedly in advanced talks with the Saudi Arabian club. Despite Gary O’Neil’s willingness for Podence to stay, the winger seems determined to depart.
It will be a loss for Wolves if Podence leaves, as he has shown glimpses of his potential during pre-season. While he has faced criticism for his inconsistency, his ability to create magic on the field and his willingness to stand up against racism have endeared him to some fans. However, it appears that his departure is imminent, much to the disappointment of both Wolves and potentially Olympiacos, where he enjoyed a successful loan spell last season.
