Crystal Palace bid farewell to multiple talented football players during the summer transfer window, with names like Michael Olise, Joachim Andersen, Sam Johnstone, and Jordan Ayew leaving the club. Odsonne Edouard was also loaned to Leicester City. Prior to these departures, Jairo Riedewald, Nathan Ferguson, and James Tomkins had already left after their contracts were not renewed.

Now, however, there is talk of Tomkins possibly making a return to the Premier League with Wolves showing interest in signing him. With Yerson Mosquera out due to injury, Wolves are looking at experienced options to fill the void in their defense. Tomkins’ extensive Premier League experience, with close to 300 appearances for West Ham and Crystal Palace, makes him a favorable candidate.

Although Tomkins had limited playing time in his last few seasons at Crystal Palace, his potential addition to Wolves could see him reuniting with former teammate Sam Johnstone. Their successful partnership in the past could prove beneficial for Wolves as they look to strengthen their defensive line.

If the move does come to fruition, Tomkins could find himself back at Selhurst Park to face his former team on May 18th in what could be an interesting reunion. Keep an eye on this development as it unfolds.
