During the summer transfer window, Nottingham Forest made a move for Carlos Miguel from Corinthians, and he inked a deal that will keep him with the club until 2028.
As reported by UOL, the English side shelled out €4m to secure the services of the Brazilian goalkeeper.
The article mentions that the 25-year-old is set to receive a percentage of the transfer fee from Corinthians. Initially, Corinthians agreed to pay R$2m [€332,884] for 20% of Miguel’s rights, to be paid within five days of his move to Nottingham Forest.
However, since his transfer in July, Miguel has yet to receive any payment from his former club. The player is said to be frustrated and impatient with the situation, urging Corinthians to hand over the money owed to him.
It’s revealed that Miguel is now demanding that Corinthians pay him 20% of the total fee they received from Nottingham Forest, amounting to €800,000.
There is no information on how Corinthians is currently handling the situation.
Miguel has only appeared once for his new team, in a match against Newcastle United in the EFL Cup, which they lost on penalties.
Nuno Espírito Santo has favored Matz Sels over Miguel in Premier League matches this season.
