However, Ange Postecoglou was left stunned by the team’s drastic downturn in the second half, labeling it as ‘unacceptable’. Despite controlling the game in the first half with impressive performances from Brennan Johnson, Timo Werner, and Dominic Solanke, Brighton managed to turn the tables.
Les Ferdinand pointed out Tottenham’s failure to utilize Solanke effectively in the second half, a decision that he believed ultimately cost them the game. Solanke, who had been a threat in the first half, barely saw the ball in the second.
