West Ham Dumped: West Ham get slap in the face as Duran signs mega deal

West Ham’s aspirations have been crushed with the announcement that Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran has solidified his commitment to the club by signing a new six-year contract, closing the door on any chance of the Hammers signing him.

The 20-year-old, who was heavily pursued by West Ham during the summer transfer window, has now extended his stay at Villa Park until 2030.

Adding insult to injury, Duran has been in sensational form this season, making a significant impact off the bench with four Premier League goals and a stunning strike in Villa’s Champions League victory over Bayern Munich.

Despite reports of West Ham’s director of football feeling let down by the club for not securing Duran’s signing, sources within the club have dismissed these claims. However, insiders have confirmed that the Hammers did indeed have a genuine interest in the Colombian forward and made several bids for him.
