£2.9M WASTED: Rodgers to make Ultimate decision to brutally ditch Celtic flop who’s played less than Palma

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers received strong support from the board during the recent summer transfer window, with the club breaking their transfer record to sign midfielder Arne Engels for £11m from Augsburg.

Along with Engels, the club brought in Adam Idah, Paulo Bernardo, Viljami Sinisalo, Kasper Schmeichel, Alex Valle, Auston Trusty, and Luke McCowan to strengthen the squad.

However, one player who has struggled to make an impact this season is Luis Palma. The Honduran forward, who had a promising debut season with Celtic, has found himself on the fringes of the squad, with Rodgers favoring Daizen Maeda on the left flank.

Meanwhile, central midfielder Odin Thiago Holm, signed for £2.6m, has failed to impress, with only one goal and one assist in 16 appearances. With Engels, McCowan, and Bernardo now in his position, it may be time for Celtic to cash in on the 21-year-old in the January transfer window.

Ultimately, the club’s investment in new talent may force out players like Palma and Holm, as Rodgers looks to build a stronger squad for the future.
