Marsch revealed that after his unexpected sacking by Leeds last Winter, he turned down offers from both Southampton and Leicester City. In hindsight, he believes that he might have been too hasty in his decision-making.
The American explained that he was approached for the Southampton job immediately after leaving Leeds, but felt it was too soon for him to transition to a new role. He also disclosed that he was very close to accepting the Leicester City job, but ultimately decided he wasn’t mentally prepared to jump back into management.
Now living in Italy and working as a sideline reporter for CBS Sports, Marsch has been reflecting on his past opportunities and considering his next move. Despite his regrets, he remains optimistic about his future in the football industry.
