AUDACIOUS DEAL CONFIRMED: Leeds United set to seal ‘Audacious Deal’ with Man City star but Pep Guardiola might stand in the way after what happened with Kalvin Phillips

Leeds United are carefully exploring their options in preparation for the upcoming January transfer window as they push towards securing promotion to the Premier League by the end of the season. The team will be back in Championship action on Sunday against Swansea City, aiming to stay competitive at the top of the table.

During the summer, Leeds had been actively pursuing a new No.10 following Georginio Rutter’s departure to Brighton and Hove Albion. Despite their interest in players like Fábio Carvalho and James McAtee, the club was unable to secure any deals.

Despite ongoing negotiations with his camp, Leeds was unable to complete the signing of McAtee. Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola had a change of heart and decided to hold on to the 22-year-old due to his unique skills in tight spaces.

However, with McAtee seeing minimal playing time in the Premier League, Leeds has reignited their interest and reportedly made a substantial offer for the midfielder. There is competition from other clubs like Sheffield United and West Ham, but Leeds’ bid remains competitive.

Despite Leeds’ interest, Guardiola’s decision may once again hinder any potential move for McAtee. With Guardiola possibly wanting to keep the player in light of injury concerns within his squad, Leeds may have to navigate around the City boss’s preferences before securing McAtee’s services. Former Leeds goalkeeper Paul Robinson believes Guardiola may choose to keep McAtee until the end of the season due to his potential impact on the team.
