Explosive Statement- Warning: SPFL Lashes Out at ‘ Shameful and Outrageous’ Pyrotechnics Display in Celtic vs Rangers Final, Declares Action ‘Absolutely Unforgivable’

The SPFL has issued a stern warning to Celtic and Rangers following their fans’ pre-match pyrotechnic display at the Premier Sports Cup final, deeming it ‘completely unacceptable’ and stating that it will be taken into account in the ongoing case against the Old Firm duo.

Despite the thrilling 3-3 draw that ended in Celtic’s victory on penalties, the game was marred by multiple incidents before kick-off, causing a delay. The SPFL has advised both clubs that these incidents will be included in the investigation into their previous breaches during the semi-finals against Aberdeen and Motherwell.

In a statement, the SPFL commended both teams for their passionate and exciting performance in the cup final. However, they emphasized that the unauthorized use of pyrotechnics is illegal and dangerous, leading to disruptions and delays in the game.

The SPFL will work with Police Scotland to investigate the illegal behavior, and these incidents will factor into the ongoing disciplinary proceedings against both clubs. The league is also waiting for the match delegate’s report to address other issues, such as supporters encroaching onto the Hampden Park trackside area during and after the match.
