Dean Saunders strongly advises the player to seek a move away from Manchester United in January. He emphasizes the failed move to West Ham over the summer and believes that Harry Maguire should leave in order to go where he is truly appreciated. However, it appears unlikely that Maguire will leave given the recent progress he has made with the Red Devils, in addition to the substantial wage demands that have previously prevented a move. The possibility of a transfer to West Ham is also slim due to financial constraints and the competition between both clubs in the Premier League. Despite this, it may still be in the best interest of Maguire and Man United to part ways in January.
