In his column for the Daily Record, Ferguson expressed his enthusiasm for the potential investment from Marathe and his consortium, believing it could be the key to making Rangers successful again. He mentioned Celtic twice in his column, highlighting their financial advantage and expressing hope that Rangers can challenge their dominance.
While Ferguson is hopeful and optimistic about the potential takeover, it is important to be realistic. Financial expert Kieran Maguire warned that a takeover by 49ers Enterprises, who already own Leeds United, may not necessarily result in a significant cash injection for Rangers.
