Sutton’s comments were met with disagreement from fellow pundit Kris Boyd, who argued that Rangers’ celebration was justified given the circumstances of the game. However, Sutton responded by saying that the bar for celebration seemed very low.
Rangers caretaker manager Barry Ferguson is likely to focus on the team’s upcoming trip to Bilbao rather than Sutton’s comments. Ferguson made nine changes to the starting lineup against Aberdeen, resting some of his best players for the Europa League clash.
