Gary Lineker has praised Wolves’ remarkable turnaround under Vitor Pereira, saying the team’s recent winning streak is no surprise given their talent. Wolves have won four consecutive Premier League games, including a 4-2 victory over Tottenham, moving them 14 points clear of the relegation zone.
Lineker, speaking on The Rest is Football podcast, commended Pereira’s excellent job in a short space of time. “We should also mention Wolves,” he said. “Because they’ve done something that they’ve never done in Premier League history and that’s win four games on the bounce.”
Lineker noted that Wolves’ early-season struggles were partly due to tough fixtures, which affected their confidence. However, he believes the team’s talent has shone through under Pereira’s leadership. “They’ve got a lot of talent out there,” Lineker said. “I’m not surprised at all, although winning four on the bounce is quite an achievement.”
While Lineker is right that Wolves have a talented squad, it’s clear that Pereira’s impact has been significant.
