Enzo Maresca’s Leicester City extended their lead over Ipswich to 10 points on Monday, dealing a blow to Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna who confirmed that striker George Hirst will be out for a “significant” portion of the season with a ruptured hamstring. McKenna is also concerned about the fitness of top assist maker Leif Davis for their upcoming game against City. Additionally, Ipswich will be without centre-back Cameron Burgess who has joined the Australia squad. Ipswich’s winless streak in the Championship has put them just three points ahead of third-placed Southampton.
