Leicester City have their eye on Wolfsburg’s rising star David Odogu, but they are in a battle with Chelsea to secure the 17-year-old’s talents.

According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, initial discussions have been held with both Chelsea and Leicester about a potential deal, but they are still in the early stages.

Odogu has not yet made his senior debut for Wolfsburg, but he is a regular player for their U19 team and has been making a name for himself in the German national team, with several appearances for the U16s and U17s since his debut last year.

Following his success as a World Cup winner with the U17s, Odogu seems ready for a new challenge, with his agents exploring his options in the market. His frustration with not being included in Wolfsburg’s winter training camp has also sparked a desire to move on, with Leicester and Chelsea being the first to express their interest, although it is still in the early stages.

Both clubs have shown a focus on young talent in their recent recruitment, with Leicester bringing in several promising young players in the summer. Odogu could be the latest addition to their list of up-and-coming talents.
