“Is time to say goodbye, moving to where I’llbe appreciated” Leeds star set to leave already, possible replacement named

Leeds United have secured promotion to the Premier League, but their campaign was briefly in doubt due to a wobbly run of form. Goalkeeper Illan Meslier’s string of errors raised concerns, and he was eventually replaced by Karl Darlow.

According to reports, Meslier is expected to leave Leeds if an offer comes in, and the club is targeting a new goalkeeper. Sam Johnstone, an England international currently out of favor at Wolves, is reportedly on the list.

While Johnstone brings Premier League experience, concerns surround his suitability. At 32, his long-term prospects are uncertain, and his recent form has been inconsistent. He made just 10 appearances for Wolves last season, keeping only one clean sheet and conceding 19 goals.

A younger or more reliable goalkeeper might be a better fit for Leeds in the long run. However, Johnstone’s past performances do make him a potential option. The decision will ultimately depend on Leeds’ priorities and the alternatives available.
