VERBAL AGREEMENT REACHED: Leeds hold talks to sign award-winning international striker as ‘priority’ revealed

Leeds United is prioritizing signing a new striker in the summer transfer window to bolster their attack for the Premier League season. With Joel Piroe expected to win the Championship Golden Boot, the Whites are looking to bring in additional firepower.

Former Tottenham striker Troy Parrott has been discussed internally as a potential signing. Parrott has scored 20 goals in 45 games for AZ Alkmaar this season. However, Leeds may need to aim higher for a proven Premier League goalscorer.

While Parrott’s potential and versatility could benefit Leeds, his inconsistent scoring record in England raises concerns about his ability to deliver consistently in the Premier League. The Whites might have to pay a premium to secure his services, which may not be worth the investment.

Instead, Leeds could consider splashing their transfer record on a top striker to guarantee their stay in the top flight. Piroe could play as a number 10 or backup striker, and the club might look to cash in on Brenden Aaronson to fund their recruitment drive.
