Daizen Maeda to Fenerbahce “here we go” : Fenerbahce preparing a whopping transfer offer of ‘over €10m’ for Celtic’s Daizen Maeda as ‘meeting’ scheduled

Reports suggest that Fenerbahce is prepared to offer more than €10m in a transfer fee for Celtic’s standout player, Daizen Maeda.

Maeda delivered exceptional performances for the Hoops last season, stepping up admirably after Kyogo’s departure in January. Under Brendan Rodgers’ guidance, Maeda was moved to a striker position and finished the season with an impressive tally of 33 goals in 51 games across all competitions.

The Japanese player rightfully earned individual player of the year awards and his transfer value has skyrocketed by an astounding 587% since joining Celtic.

As the season draws to a close, speculation about Maeda’s future has begun swirling, with a recent report causing concern among Celtic fans. It is rumored that Fenerbahce has put Maeda on their summer transfer shortlist, and talks between the clubs are imminent.

Fotomac has reported that officials from Fenerbahce and Celtic, including Maeda’s agent, will meet to discuss an offer exceeding €10m for the 27-year-old player.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, Maeda is taking a well-deserved break after a challenging season. He was not called up for Japan’s international games in June, providing some relief for Celtic ahead of the upcoming pre-season preparations.

Prior to the Scottish Cup final loss to Aberdeen, Maeda remained noncommittal about his future with the Hoops, stating that he needs to consider his options with his family before making a decision.
