Transfer Battle: Sunderland and Burnley in ‘four-way duel’ to sign Aston Villa player – Villans set affordable price tag

Sunderland and Burnley are in a race to secure the signature of Aston Villa’s Àlex Moreno this summer, as reported by Fichajes. The La Liga interest in the player includes these two clubs, with the 32-year-old currently on loan at Nottingham Forest and unlikely to have a future at Aston Villa.

Real Betis have also expressed interest in bringing Moreno back to improve their defence, with the left-back previously playing for the Andalusian club before joining Villa. However, Sunderland and Burnley are not the only clubs vying for Moreno’s services, as Real Sociedad is also keen on the Spaniard.

With both Sunderland and Burnley earning promotion to the Premier League and looking to strengthen their squads for the upcoming season, Moreno is a target for the left-back position. His contract with Villa runs until 2026, and he is valued at €6m by Unai Emery’s side, a price that should be affordable for the interested clubs.

In a ‘four-way duel’ alongside Real Betis and Real Sociedad, Sunderland and Burnley are determined to secure the signing of Moreno for the upcoming season.
