Nottingham Forest News can exclusively reveal the reason behind the delay in announcing the arrival of Igor Jesus.
Despite the initial announcement of Forest signing Jesus almost two weeks ago, there has been a lack of updates since then. Jesus bid farewell to Botafogo fans before their Club World Cup trip to the US, but nothing official has been confirmed by Forest.
Reports suggest that Forest is set to pay £16.8 million for Jesus, which is considered a great deal. Fans, however, are growing anxious due to the silence surrounding the transfer.
Jesus, who has scored seven goals this season, will join Forest to compete with Chris Wood and Taiwo Awoniyi for a spot in the team.
