VERBAL AGREEMENT IN PLACE: Nottingham Forest want wonderkid who loses possession less than Callum Hudson-Odoi, Slot and Chelsea keen

Nottingham Forest is on the hunt for new players as the summer transfer window draws to a close in September. The Reds are rumored to have their sights set on several star players, indicating an active transfer season ahead.

One of the signings the club is set to make is Igor Jesus, who will join Forest after the Club World Cup, having recently scored against Seattle Sounders. His teammate, Jair Cunha, is also expected to make the move to Forest, alongside left-back Cuiabano from Brighton.

With a focus on strengthening their forward line, Forest has identified Malick Fofana as a potential target. Premier League clubs, including Forest, have reportedly shown interest in the young Belgian winger, with Chelsea and Liverpool also in the race for his signature.

Fofana, a 20-year-old considered a wonderkid for his potential, impressed at Lyon last season with 11 goals and six assists in 41 appearances. Compared to Callum Hudson-Odoi, Fofana shows promise on the left wing, despite higher possession loss rates.

Forest, known for making smart signings like Hudson-Odoi, could see Fofana as a player for the future with his polished dribbling skills. While Lyon may not be actively looking to sell the talented winger, their financial situation could lead to a potential transfer this summer.
