Sunderland is currently in negotiations to sign midfielder Moussa Baradji from Yverdon Sport, a club in Switzerland. The team is gearing up for their return to the Premier League and has already been linked to various players. Their only completed deal so far is Enzo Le Fée from AS Roma.
According to reports from Africa Foot, Sunderland has reached out to Baradji’s representatives in hopes of reaching an agreement. Despite his impressive debut season in Switzerland, Yverdon Sport was relegated last year, making Baradji potentially available for transfer. The midfielder could cost around £2.6 million, and other clubs like Fiorentina, Parma AC, Torino, FC Basel, Celtic, and Galatasaray are interested in signing him as well.

Sunderland’s sporting director, Kristjaan Speakman, confirmed that he has been traveling abroad to meet with potential transfer targets. He emphasized the importance of not just getting to the Premier League but establishing themselves in the top tier and aiming for success in the long term. Speakman has been actively working behind the scenes to recruit players that will help Sunderland compete at the highest level in the coming years.
