RIVALS FUMING HOT: SIGNING FEE REVEALED FOR 23-YEAR-OLD ATTACKER- TOTTENHAM ARE SET TO CONCLUDE CONTRACT

According to sources at Football Insider, Tottenham is in talks to sign Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher in the upcoming January transfer window.

Wayne Veysey, on Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, revealed that Chelsea is open to selling the 23-year-old to their London rivals, despite the historic rivalry between the two clubs. It is reported that Chelsea is willing to let Gallagher go for a fee ranging between £45-50 million to comply with their Financial Fair Play obligations.

Gallagher, a product of Chelsea’s academy, would be a profitable sale for the club, similar to the Mason Mount transfer to Manchester United last summer. Negotiations between Tottenham and Chelsea are ongoing and a potential deal could be reached this month.

While Tottenham is also focused on signing Genoa center-back Radu Dragusin, they are also keen on adding a central midfielder and wide forward to their squad. The potential acquisition of Gallagher would surely upset Chelsea supporters, given the animosity between the two clubs.

Gallagher has been a key player for Tottenham this season, starting in nearly every Premier League game under Mauricio Pochettino. Despite not scoring, he has provided four assists and has even captained the team in the absence of Reece James.

Last month, sources indicated that Gallagher is eager to extend his stay at Chelsea and is looking to sign a new contract, as his current deal runs until 2025. As for the teams’ current standings, Tottenham sits fifth in the Premier League table, while Chelsea is in tenth place.
