PERSONAL TERMS AGREED: £100,000-per-week ace to Tottenham: Fabrizio Romano Confirmed Deal

Tottenham Hotspur is making moves to secure early January signings, in line with manager Ange Postecoglou’s desire for new additions to the team. The Lilywhites have already reached an agreement with defender Radu Dragusin of Genoa. Talks are underway to finalize this deal, but a surprising development has also emerged as RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner is on the verge of joining Spurs.

It seems that the German forward is ready to make the move as Postecoglou’s side moves quickly to strengthen both their attacking and defensive options. Reports indicate that Spurs are keen to make three January signings in the form of a defender, midfielder, and forward. The potential signings of Dragusin and Werner would tick off two of these boxes just days after the window’s opening.

Journalist Dean Jones reported that Spurs have also been offered the opportunity to sign a “big name” player in the form of Raphinha from Barcelona. However, Spurs have not chosen to pursue this offer, possibly due to the imminent arrival of Timo Werner.

It’s believed that a “similar situation” could arise with Borussia Dortmund’s Donyell Malen. However, if Raphinha is considered for Spurs again in the summer, he remains an interesting option given his proven Premier League experience and skill on the field. With an impressive track record at Leeds, Raphinha has been described as “phenomenal” and “relentless” by former players and experts.

Given his abilities and experience, Raphinha could be an excellent choice to take Timo Werner’s place, should Spurs decide not to pursue the former Chelsea star. This alternative option from Barcelona could be a valuable addition to the team.
