CONTRACT FINALIZED- MEDICALS TOMORROW: Transfer agreement of £30M Reached: Club Jubilate

According to reports from Football Insider on Saturday (6 January), 27-year-old Timo Werner has accepted Spurs’ offer.

Werner, who currently plays for RB Leipzig, is expected to have a medical at Tottenham tomorrow (7 January) as they finalize a loan-to-buy deal for the former Chelsea player.

Negotiations between Tottenham and Leipzig are reaching their final stages, with the main point of contention being the details of the buy option. Sources have revealed that the buy option is set at around £30million.

With Harry Kane’s departure in the summer and Heung-min Son heading off to the Asian Games, Spurs are in need of a striker and are hopeful that Werner will fill that void.

Despite interest from other Premier League clubs like Manchester United, Liverpool, Newcastle, and Aston Villa, Tottenham is set to secure Werner’s signing.

Werner, who previously won the Champions League with Chelsea, has had a slow start to the season with just two goals in 14 appearances for Leipzig.

If the deal goes through as expected, Werner could potentially make his debut for Tottenham in their upcoming match against Manchester United on 14 January.
