UNEXPECTED U-TURN: Wolves player could rejoin his old club on loan after making just 11 PL starts in three seasons

Wolves have bid farewell to several players this summer and it looks like another departure could be on the horizon.

The summer transfer window for Wolves kicked off on a concerning note, with Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri both departing to join Manchester clubs, while Pablo Sarabia left as a free agent.

More exits followed, with the likes of Craig Dawson, Carlos Forbs, Tommy Doyle and Nasser Djiga leaving the club. Fer Lopez has been the sole new arrival so far, with Jhon Arias set to join after a breakthrough deal was reached.

Now, Wolves seem ready to let Boubacar Traore leave on loan, with Metz expressing interest in the player. Traore, who joined Wolves in 2022, has struggled to make a mark due to injuries and competition in his position, making just 41 appearances for the club.

Metz’s potential move for Traore could be a smart decision as he previously excelled at the club. With limited playing time at Wolves, a loan move could offer Traore the opportunity to reignite his career and shine once again. It remains to be seen if an agreement can be reached between Wolves and Metz for the player’s salary, but it could be a beneficial move for all parties involved.
