Coventry City Bolster Leadership Team with High-Profile Appointment
Coventry City has strengthened its off-field leadership by appointing Paul Tyrrell as its new Chief Operations Officer. Tyrrell, who joins the club from Nottingham Forest, brings a wealth of experience in football operations, having previously held senior roles at Aston Villa, Fulham, Derby County, Everton, Liverpool, and Manchester City.
Tyrrell will oversee key areas of the club’s operations, including match day operations, HR, safeguarding, grounds and facilities, and the academy. He will report directly to Executive Chairman Doug King and will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of the club’s day-to-day activities.
The appointment is part of a broader leadership reshuffle, with Nicola Ibbetson set to join the club as Chief Business Officer on Monday. Tyrrell will begin his new role on July 21, ahead of the 2025/26 season, and is expected to make a significant impact on the club’s operational efficiency.
