FINAL AGREEMENT DONE- Player set to fly in for MEDICAL: Leeds prepare ground for transfer agreement after agent meet

Leeds United have been putting in the effort to secure Feyenoord forward Igor Paixao during this transfer window at Elland Road.

In a bid to beat Olympique Marseille’s offer for the Brazilian attacker, the Whites have matched the French club’s proposal with additional add-ons.

While Roma has also shown interest in Paixao, they have yet to take concrete steps to acquire the 25-year-old.

With behind-the-scenes preparations in place, Leeds now appear to be on the verge of finalizing a deal for the winger.

Following meetings with Paixao’s agents, Leeds have set the groundwork for a transfer agreement, as reported by Le Figaro Sports.

Despite Marseille making Paixao their top priority, Feyenoord’s lack of response to their offer of approximately £26 million has left the door open for Leeds.

It seems likely that Paixao is keen on joining the newly-promoted Premier League side in the near future, although the final fee is still uncertain.

With the need to strengthen their attack, Paixao seems like a perfect fit for Leeds after his impressive performances in the Eredivisie last season.

Manager Daniel Farke will be looking to make further additions in the ongoing transfer window, with a focus on improving their attacking options.

Having reinforced their defense with the signings of Jaka Bijol, Sebastiaan Bornauw, and Gabriel Gudmundsson, Leeds still have work to do up front, with Lukas Nmecha being their sole forward addition so far.

Securing Paixao’s move to Elland Road should be a priority for Leeds, followed by exploring other options to provide Farke with more attacking depth.

It’s clear that Leeds will need to rely on their attacking prowess to compete with their Premier League rivals and secure crucial points to avoid relegation.
