According to Alasdair Gold of Football.London, Timo Werner is expected to travel to England today to finalize a deal with Tottenham Hotspur. Sky Sports reports that the RB Leipzig forward will sign a loan deal with an option to make it permanent in the summer of 2024.
It’s interesting to note that Kai Havertz, who played with Werner at Chelsea, joined Arsenal in the summer of 2023 for a whopping £65 million, as reported by Sky Sports. While Werner may not have had the best of times at Chelsea, Havertz once praised his ability to change his style of play and make important contributions to the team, stating that he can do everything and is unpredictable.
Both Werner and Havertz were part of the Chelsea squad that won the UEFA Champions League in the 2020-21 season.
