BAD NEWS-TRANSFER TWIST: West Ham transfer deal gone wrong

As reported on their transfer live blog (9 January, 8:26am), West Ham’s plans for the transfer window have shifted with news of Michail Antonio’s injury setback. This means that the club is unlikely to let Danny Ings leave, disappointing Wolves who were interested in a loan deal for the striker.

Despite being near the bottom of the pecking order under David Moyes, Ings is set to remain at West Ham as they prioritize their own needs for the second half of the season. This setback is bad news for both Wolves and Ings, as any potential deal will have to wait until the end of the transfer window.

The Hammers had been open to a deal for Ings this month, but now it seems that any move is off the table for the time being. In the meantime, West Ham are reportedly looking to secure a loan or permanent deal for another international forward.
