Spurs are intensifying their pursuit of 19-year-old Adam Wharton after closely monitoring his performance, according to Football Insider.
Sources have disclosed that Blackburn Rovers may request a transfer fee ranging from £10-15 million for Wharton during the upcoming summer transfer window. Despite this, the club is determined to retain Wharton in the current window and will reject any offers that come their way.
Nevertheless, Blackburn is bracing for interest in Wharton ahead of the summer transfer window at the conclusion of the 2023-24 season. A reliable insider has revealed that a bid within the £10-15 million range could be sufficient to secure Wharton, especially due to his status as a homegrown player.
It is anticipated that Blackburn will find it challenging to turn down a significant offer falling within that price range. Crystal Palace and Everton have also shown interest in the promising teenager, with sources indicating that Premier League admirers believe Wharton is capable of seamlessly transitioning to the top flight.
Wharton recently signed a long-term contract with Blackburn in December, potentially keeping him at the club until June 2028. Despite his young age, he has already made 27 appearances this season, contributing with one goal and three assists.
Notably, Spurs have shown strong interest in recruiting young talent and previously acquired centre-back Ashley Phillips from Blackburn last summer.
