Tottenham have secured a deal with Genoa for the signing of Radu Dragusin, a highly-rated defender. Despite Bayern Munich’s attempt to hijack the move, Dragusin is set to complete a medical and join the club in north London. The initial fee is set at £21.5million with potential add-ons of £4.5m. Dragusin is expected to undergo a medical and could be available to play in the upcoming Premier League game against Manchester United. Additionally, Tottenham’s young defender Djed Spence may be heading to Genoa as part of the deal. This signing comes shortly after the confirmation of the acquisition of German forward Timo Werner. With three players out of action due to international commitments, the addition of Dragusin will provide much-needed reinforcement for Tottenham. The team, currently in the fourth round of the FA Cup and just outside the top four in the Premier League, is looking to bolster its squad in order to compete for a spot in the top four at the end of the season. Dragusin’s international experience and success with Romania in Euro 2024 is expected to enhance the competition within the squad.
