Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers has criticized Sunderland for a post on social media that praised a tough tackle on him during their recent match.
In the game between the Black Cats and Villans at the Stadium of Light, Rogers was on the receiving end of a robust challenge by Trai Hume. Despite the forceful nature of the tackle and Rogers being sent flying, Hume escaped without any punishment.
Following the match where Sunderland ended with ten men, Villa tried to push for a victory, with Rogers attempting to make a break down the left flank. However, Hume swiftly intercepted with a strong tackle that left Rogers airborne.
Despite the tackle being celebrated by Sunderland fans on social media, Rogers voiced his disapproval on his Instagram story, criticizing the club for glorifying such dangerous plays.
