West Ham United transfer news brings an update on Conor Coventry’s potential move to Sheffield Wednesday. Unfortunately, it seems that the deal is now unlikely to happen, as reported by The Sheffield Star. Sources have described the move as being “on life support.” Instead, Coventry looks set to join Charlton Athletic after talkSPORT journalist Natasha Everitt tweeted that he is undergoing a medical with the League One side. This move comes as no surprise as Coventry has struggled to break into West Ham’s first team and has been sent out on loan multiple times. Although he has made very few appearances for the Hammers, a move to Charlton could offer him more chances to play and continue his development in his home city of London. Everyone associated with West Ham wishes him well in his career.
