Despite their impact, some of the new signings are still waiting for their chance to showcase their abilities this season. Manager Daniel Farke appears to have settled on his preferred lineup and is unlikely to make significant changes.
With Leeds performing well and displaying competitiveness, Farke is hesitant to disrupt the current starting eleven, unless forced to do so by injuries. This situation has left some of the summer signings in a difficult position, struggling to find playing time early in the season.
One such player is Jaka Bijol, who was brought in for a hefty fee but has not yet featured in the Premier League. His suspension in the opening game allowed Joe Rodon and Pascal Struijk to establish a strong defensive partnership, making it challenging for Bijol to break into the team.
Slovenia coach Matjaz Kek acknowledges that Farke has no reason to make changes, as the defense is performing well and the team is cohesive. Due to this, Kek believes Bijol may have to wait for his opportunity in the league, with Farke showing consistency in his defensive selections.
Farke’s preference for a settled back four means that unless there are injuries, Bijol may have to be patient and bide his time before earning his spot in the Leeds United starting lineup this season.
