Ange Postecoglou has opened up about the support he has received from Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis amid a tough start to his tenure as Reds head coach.
The Australian manager has been under scrutiny following a six-match winless streak since taking charge. Marinakis, who has been present at the City Ground for the last two games, witnessed Forest lose to both Sunderland and FC Midtjylland in the Europa League.
Reflecting on his interactions with Marinakis, Postecoglou shared, “I didn’t speak with him on Thursday night. It’s fair to say we were both probably not in the best mood for a chat. However, I did catch up with him after the Sunderland game.”
Postecoglou revealed that Marinakis expressed his desire for the team to succeed, asking, ‘How can we help you?’ The manager appreciated the owner’s willingness to support, stating, “That’s all you need to know. He wants to assist, and he inquired about what I might need in terms of support.”
