Despite his outstanding performances for Crystal Palace, midfielder Adam Wharton was left out of the England squad for the upcoming international break in October. Wharton showcased his skills once again in the recent match against Everton, although his team suffered a defeat.

In a game where Crystal Palace lost their unbeaten run, Wharton stood out in midfield and put in a stellar performance. Many believed he deserved the Man of the Match award, including Gary Lineker who praised his contributions on the pitch.

Lineker and Micah Richards discussed Wharton’s omission from the England squad on The Rest Is Football show, questioning why such a talented player was not selected. Despite the disappointment, Wharton continues to impress under the guidance of Oliver Glasner at Crystal Palace.

As one of the brightest young talents in Europe, Wharton has attracted interest from top clubs like Real Madrid and Bayern Munich. With his contract set to expire in 2029, it is evident that Crystal Palace sees him as a key player for their future success.

Although missing out on the upcoming England games may not be a major concern at the moment, Wharton’s focus remains on earning a spot in the squad for the World Cup next summer. With his current form, it seems inevitable that he will be a part of the team as Tuchel acknowledges his talent and contribution to the club. Palace is set to face Bournemouth after the international break, where Wharton will undoubtedly continue to showcase his skills on the field.
