Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou has bad news regarding Dane Scarlett and the match against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Postecoglou has said that Scarlett will not be available to turn out against Erik ten Hag’s side at Old Trafford.
Dane Scarlett injured for Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester United
Well, Tottenham Hotspur will take on Manchester United away from home at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday.
Spurs will head into the match against Erik ten Hag’s side on the back of a 1-0 victory over Burnley at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the third round of the FA Cup.
Tottenham are fifth in the Premier League table with 39 points from 20 matches. The North London club are six points behind leaders Liverpool.
Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou has been speaking to the media ahead of the match against Manchester United.
The former Celtic manager has said that 19-year-old England Under-21 international forward Dane Scarlett suffered an injury in training and will not be available for the match against United.
Postecoglou told Football.London: “Dane Scarlett has picked up an injury as well in training so he’ll miss out.”
My View: Disappointing for Dane Scarlett
In my opinion, the injury to Dane Scarlett will come as a disappointment to the Tottenham Hotspur forward.
Scarlett struggled to make an impact during his loan spell at Ipswich Town and was recalled early.
The 19-year-old forward made 12 substitute appearances in the Championship for Ipswich.
Scarlett will expect to get chances for the Tottenham first team in the coming weeks and months.
The injury he suffered in training ahead of the match against Manchester United will come as a blow for the teenage forward.
