Ipswich sink Sunderland to take advantage of Leicester City’s slip

Ipswich rallied to close the gap on Championship leaders Leicester with a 2-1 comeback win over Sunderland at Portman Road. After initially falling behind to Jack Clarke’s goal, Kayden Jackson’s equalizer and Conor Chaplin’s match-winner secured the victory for Kieran McKenna’s side. The win rejuvenates their hopes of a top-two finish, while Southampton’s win kept them three points behind Ipswich. Despite a strong performance from Sunderland, manager Michael Beale lamented a lack of discipline and naivety in their play. Ipswich’s McKenna praised his team’s resilience and commitment despite missing key players.
