Conor Coady expressed his belief that the atmosphere at the Everton vs Bournemouth game on the final day of last season was even louder than the Merseyside Derby. He told More Than A Game that the noise at Goodison Park during the Cherries game was “unbelievable” and so loud that it was impossible to hear anything and left their ears ringing. Despite the usual loud noise in the Merseyside Derby, the atmosphere during the Bournemouth game was described as “next level” and “electric”. The victory secured their place in the Premier League for another season, and Coady highlighted the importance of the fans in achieving that. While such intense scenes may not be needed this season, the Toffees and their supporters will hope to stay away from the relegation zone in the coming weeks.
