Newcastle United are heading towards a significant squad reshuffle this summer, with multiple departures expected as the club prepares for key decisions on contracts, loans, and long-term squad planning.
As things stand, several first-team players are approaching the end of their current deals, while others are unlikely to be retained beyond the current campaign. One major decision has already been confirmed, with Kieran Trippier set to leave St James’ Park when his contract expires on 30 June, bringing an end to a successful four-and-a-half-year spell on Tyneside.
Trippier has been a key figure since joining from Atlético Madrid, playing a central role in Newcastle’s return to European football and their recent Carabao Cup success. However, he is not the only senior player heading towards an exit, with further changes expected across the squad.
Defender Fabian Schär is also nearing the end of his contract, although his situation remains open.
