Leicester City’s Hamza Choudhury has been charged with drink-driving and will be making a court appearance next month. The 26-year-old former Premier League player was stopped by police in south Nottingham in the early hours of last Friday. Reportedly, he refused to take a breathalyser test and was arrested at the scene. Later, he was charged with driving while over the alcohol limit, driving without due care, and failing to cooperate with a preliminary breathalyser test. Choudhury, who is paid £50,000 a week, is currently out on unconditional bail and is scheduled to appear in court for the first time next month. He was seen as a future club captain, particularly after playing consistently in midfield this season, and had previously been touted as a future England star after representing the under 21 team.
