Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna is attracting significant attention from several Premier League clubs, with reports suggesting the highly rated coach has a release clause worth around £8 million in his contract.
McKenna, who has become one of the most sought-after young managers in English football, is believed to be on the radar of clubs including Crystal Palace and Fulham ahead of the summer reshuffle in the Premier League dugout.

Speaking recently, Ashton said:
“Success brings challenges. When we got promoted last time, there was a hell of a lot of noise around our manager and rightly so.
We had back-to-back promotions, he’d done really well and he’s done really well again.
I think success will always bring that noise, but we get on, we talk every day, we’re under no illusions that there’ll be noise around the manager, players, staff, executives. But we’re well set to take this club forward.”
When pressed on McKenna’s future, Ashton added:
“In my mind, yes [he’ll be staying]. I’ve got no reason to tell you anything different… we’re already starting to make plans.”
McKenna’s situation is now shaping up to be one of the key managerial stories of the summer, with his £8 million release clause giving clubs a clear pathway should they decide to make a move.
For Ipswich, the challenge will be maintaining stability after their recent success, while for interested Premier League sides, McKenna represents one of the most exciting young coaching options available on the market.
