Aston Villa Monitoring Tijjani Reijnders as €70m Valuation Circulates

Aston Villa are reportedly among several Premier League clubs keeping a close eye on Manchester City midfielder Tijjani Reijnders ahead of the summer transfer window, with speculation growing around a potential big-money move.

Reports suggest Villa are interested in the Dutch international as they prepare for another season in Europe under Unai Emery, with midfield reinforcements seen as a priority. However, suggestions that Villa are preparing a formal €70m bid are currently unconfirmed and appear to be speculative at this stage.

Reijnders only joined Manchester City in 2025 after a strong spell at AC Milan, arriving in a deal valued at around €55–70m including add-ons. Since moving to the Etihad, he has been viewed as part of Pep Guardiola’s long-term midfield structure rather than a short-term sale option.

Despite that, his name continues to attract attention across Europe. Aston Villa are believed to be monitoring his situation closely, while other clubs have also been loosely linked as part of wider transfer speculation.

City’s stance remains firm for now, with no indication that they are actively planning to sell the midfielder unless a major offer forces a rethink.

For Villa, any move for Reijnders would represent a statement signing — but at this stage, the situation is best described as interest rather than an advanced transfer bid.
