Ange Postecoglou shares update on injuries as a £40 million star prepares to make a comeback before the Tottenham vs Manchester City match.

Ange Postecoglou provides injury update as £40m star set to return ahead of Tottenham vs Manchester City

James Maddison is set to make his much-anticipated return to the field for Tottenham against Manchester City in the FA Cup, after being sidelined for over two months with an ankle injury. The English midfielder, who was signed from Leicester for £40million in the summer, had been instrumental for Spurs before his injury, with six assists and three goals to his name.

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou confirmed that Maddison has been back in full training and has a chance of featuring in the upcoming match. In his team update, Postecoglou mentioned that both Dejan Kulusevski and Dane Scarlett have recovered from their respective injuries, while Ben Davies and a few others have just started training with the group.

Meanwhile, Manchester City was hoping to have Erling Haaland back in action, but manager Pep Guardiola confirmed that the game will come too soon for the Norwegian striker. Guardiola expressed that Haaland is close to returning but needs a little more time to be fully ready for the match.

As both teams prepare for the FA Cup clash, Man City will be looking to break their winless streak at the Tottenham Stadium since Spurs moved there in April 2019.
