Duff confirmed Pedersen’s return and refrained from completely ruling out Cabango’s involvement.
“With Kristian Pedersen regaining full fitness and actively participating in training sessions throughout the week,” Duff stated, “the overall squad health has significantly improved. Ben Cabango’s situation remains uncertain, as he is currently on the field and will be assessed further.”
Duff highlighted that the long-term absentees include Josh Ginnelly, Joe Allen, Nathan Wood, and Azeem Abdulai. Among them, Cabango stands as the primary question mark. While there is a chance he may be ready for the weekend clash, Duff emphasized that Cabango’s availability for the following Tuesday’s game against Watford is more certain. “He is very close to being available regardless of the outcome this weekend,” Duff assured.
Pedersen’s absence in the previous three matches due to his groin injury had a noticeable impact on the team.
