Since his £45 million move from Leeds to Manchester in 2022, he has only played 31 games in 18 months, with just four appearances this season totaling 89 minutes before joining West Ham. Unfortunately, his debut with the Hammers resulted in a 1-1 draw after inadvertently allowing an opponent to score. He continued to struggle in the next game, but Phillips remains hopeful for a fresh start at West Ham, where he aims to enjoy playing football again after feeling neglected at City. Despite a rocky start, there is still time for Phillips to turn things around at West Ham.
