The Turkish media is emphasizing the unlikelihood of Leicester City being forced to purchase Yunus Akgun from Galatasaray at the end of the season. NTV Spor has pointed out that the Foxes would have to buy the player for €9m if he makes 25 starts for the team this season. However, Akgun has only started in eight matches so far, making it seem nearly impossible for him to reach the required number of starts in the coming months. This is bad news for Galatasaray, who were hoping to secure the sale, as Leicester City actually have a favorable non-obligatory buying option over Akgun at the end of the season, with a fee of €8m. Despite the midfielder’s two goals and two assists in 18 appearances for Leicester City, it’s likely that the Foxes will try to negotiate for an even lower fee, especially considering Akgun has been on the bench in their last three Championship matches.
