Beyond expiring contracts, the Elland Road front office also holds decision-making power over the permanent futures of incoming loanees Jean-Matteo Bahoya and Melvin Bard.
- Melvin Bard: Leeds retain an option-to-buy clause within Bard’s loan agreement, giving the club the structural freedom to secure his services permanently if he proves his worth over the grueling 38-game campaign.
- Jean-Matteo Bahoya: Similarly, Bahoya’s deal includes performance-related triggers. If the youngster hits specific appearance and achievement targets over the course of the season, Leeds will be obligated to complete a permanent transfer.
At this early stage, however, there is a very realistic possibility that both players could return to their parent clubs once the campaign concludes, depending on how their development unfolds under Farke’s watch.
